Colkata. Hon’ble Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee chaired the administrative review meeting for the Malda district. Later in the day, she inaugurated and laid the foundation stones for a bouquet of developmental projects for Malda district during a public meeting at DSA Stadium in Englishbazar. The Hon’ble Chief Minister announced that mangoes of Malda will now be exported to Europe, Abu Dhabi and Nepal.
The projects inaugurated by the Hon’ble Chief Minister include Mother and Child Hub at Malda Medical College and Hospital, building of Manikchak Degree College, police station, Karma Tirtha, Krishak Bazar, roads, hostels, water supply projects, mini indoor stadium at a girls’ hostel, housing for doctors and nurses, health centre, administrative building, and child care home. The Hon’ble Chief Minister also laid the foundation stones for several projects including a power sub-station, administrative buildings, housing for the homeless, health centre, model school, hostels, mini indoor stadium, godown and renovation of Malda airport in Englishbazar block. She distributed benefits like Kanyashree, cycles under Sabuj Sathi, Kisan Credit Cards, Gatidhara, assistance to purchase agricultural equipments, Geetanjali, Swasthya Sathi and other such schemes.
